Schools closed in 3 districts following earthquake in Tokat
Tokat Governor Numan Hatipoğlu announced that schools in the Sulusaray, Artova, and Yeşilyurt districts have been closed today.
Two consecutive earthquakes measuring 4.7 and 4.1 in magnitude occurred during the night in the Sulusaray district of Tokat.
Tokat Governor Numan Hatipoğlu made a statement regarding the earthquakes, which caused brief panic among citizens.
Stating that aftershocks are occurring periodically in the region, Hatipoğlu said, "Thankfully, there are no negative reports regarding the earthquake. Our district governorship, AFAD, police, and gendarmerie have conducted scanning operations in the area. There have been no negative incidents. We have closed schools in the Sulusaray, Artova, and Yeşilyurt districts for today."
