Support rally for Sinem Dedetaş in Üsküdar Square: Chants of 'The day will come, the tide will turn' echoed

Support rally for Sinem Dedetaş in Üsküdar Square: Chants of 'The day will come, the tide will turn' echoed

A rally was held in Üsküdar Square to support Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, who was taken into custody.

According to reports from the scene, there was high participation in the event, and the crowd gathered in the square frequently chanted slogans.

Participants voiced slogans such as "Rights, law, justice," "Shoulder to shoulder against fascism," and "The day will come, the tide will turn, the AKP will be held accountable."

Union Support and Turkish Flags

At the event, members of the Belediye-İş Union were also present in the square with banners reading "Belediye-İş supports."

 

 

It was observed that a significant portion of the participants were carrying Turkish flags and photographs of Sinem Dedetaş.

It was noted that the number of female participants in the square was remarkable.

Support Messages on Placards

The placards carried at the support rally included the statement attributed to Sinem Dedetaş, "Even if you take us all, this nation will not smile," as well as messages saying "Üsküdar stands by its will" and "Üsküdar is with its Mayor."

It was reported that the support rally would continue in the coming hours and that participation in the area was ongoing.

In the protest organized against Dedetaş's detention;

Members of DİSK, KESK, EHP, the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP), the Left Party, and the Communist Party of the People (HKP) also made an appearance.
