Testimony of Tamar Tanrıyar, released under judicial control, revealed: 'I am ready to give my life for the President'

The testimony given by Tamar Tanrıyar to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office via the SEGBİS system from the Kuşadası Courthouse has been revealed.

According to the report on Halktv, Tanrıyar stated the following in her testimony:

"I made the post in question 2 days ago, as far as I can remember. I made this post while I was on a cruise ship vacation. Actually, I touched upon more than one topic in my post.

However, the press perceived it as if there was only one topic. I did not name any specific person or media organization here. I mentioned newspaper distribution in my speech, but I did not give any names regarding who was distributing them.

I said there: 'I do not think anyone is obligated to distribute a newspaper belonging to a media outlet owned by a person being tried for FETÖ/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization crimes.' This 'crypto-brotherhood' I mentioned is my belief that the media outlet that appears close to the government and the one that appears distant from the government are in a financial partnership.

I know about the meetings. The media within the crypto-brotherhood I mentioned here is different from Turkuaz Medya. There is no connection. The only criticism I made regarding Turkuaz Medya is that they distribute the Sözcü newspaper."

"I AM READY TO GIVE MY LIFE FOR THE PRESIDENT"

"This is information I learned during my journalistic activities. My statement that 'July 15 feels like déjà vu' is actually a description. It is a reading of events. I did not say it based on any specific information. My husband, Can Tanrıyar, has nothing to do with this matter. He is not practicing journalism.

I have in no way insulted the President. I would even end my friendships over matters concerning the President, and I am ready to give my life for him."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Tamar Tanrıyar, who made 'FETÖ' insinuations against Serhat Albayrak, the brother of Berat Albayrak—the son-in-law of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan—in a video she shared on her social media account, was released under judicial control after being detained.

Tanrıyar, who gave her statement to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office via SEGBİS at the Aydın Kuşadası Courthouse, made statements to journalists after her release.

Immediately after leaving the courthouse, Tanrıyar said, "We are ready to sacrifice our lives for the President, there is nothing else to say," and added:

"Of course, I turned myself in. It is not even turning myself in, I came on my own. When I learned about the detention warrant, I actually wanted to come sooner, but unfortunately, I was on a ship. Since I did not have the chance to swim off the ship, I waited for the ship to dock at the port and came immediately to give my statement. There is no problem, everything is fine. Thank you very much."
