Three new members of the YSK have been determined
The elections held at the Council of State General Assembly for membership in the Supreme Election Council (YSK) have been completed. As a result of the voting, Hamdi Şenler, Yunus Emre Sılay, and Nedret Engin have become the new members of the YSK.
Elections were held at the Council of State due to the expiration of the terms of Deputy President Ekrem Özübek and members Ali Ürker and Battal Öğüt, who were selected for YSK membership from the Council of State quota.
THREE NEW MEMBERS DETERMINED
In the election held at the Council of State General Assembly on January 27, the first name elected to YSK membership was Hamdi Şenler, a member of the Administrative Litigation Chambers Board.
In today's election, Council of State 10th Chamber Member Yunus Emre Sılay and Council of State 4th Chamber Member Nedret Engin received the highest number of votes and were elected as the new members of the YSK.
Following the determination of the 3 members to be selected from the Court of Cassation quota for the YSK after the ongoing elections at the Court of Cassation General Assembly, the new members selected from the Court of Cassation and the Council of State will take their oaths and begin their duties.
After the swearing-in ceremony, an election for the YSK presidency will be held among the members whose terms are continuing and the 6 newly elected members.
The person who receives the most votes in the secret ballot will become the new president of the YSK. The new members will also be able to be candidates for the presidency.
