Trade Minister Ömer Bolat served contraband tea

A dialogue during Trade Minister Ömer Bolat's visit on February 29 has become a trending topic on social media.

Bolat was conducting shop visits in the district for election campaigning alongside AKP Güngören Mayor Bünyamin Demir, who has been nominated for re-election.

A shopkeeper who saw the Trade Minister invited him into his shop for tea. Bolat asked if the tea was hot, and upon receiving the answer "It is hot," he went inside.

"MY TEA IS CONTRABAND, BUT I SHOULD TELL YOU..."

The shopkeeper turned to the minister and said, "My tea is contraband, but I should tell you that." AKP's Demir reacted to the shopkeeper, who admitted to using contraband tea in the presence of the Trade Minister, by saying, "Is this something you say in front of the Trade Minister?"
