Tragic accident during a visit in Sakarya: 14-year-old boy loses his life, 15-year-old friend arrested

In the investigation into the death of 14-year-old Murat İ., who was shot and killed with a handgun in the Arifiye district of Sakarya, 15-year-old Y.D.S. has been arrested.

The incident occurred on July 24 in the Ahmediye neighborhood of Arifiye. It was determined that Murat İ., who was critically injured when a licensed handgun belonging to F.K. discharged at the house he was visiting, had lost his life under the supervision of medical teams.

In the investigation conducted by the Gendarmerie teams, it was determined that the gun discharged while it was in the hands of Y.D.S. Following this, Y.D.S. and 70-year-old F.K., who was stated to be the owner of the weapon, were taken into custody.

After being processed at the Gendarmerie, Y.D.S. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the duty magistrate. F.K. was released.

It was noted in the investigation that the weapon used in the incident was a licensed handgun belonging to F.K.
