Stating that the company's share value, which rose to 352 TL after its initial public offering, has fallen to a market value of 2.38 billion TL, Çömez addressed those responsible regarding the 12 million dollar bond investment held in three pension funds.
While discussions regarding the fund crisis in Turkey continue, İYİ Party MP Turhan Çömez has raised striking questions, this time regarding the Kontrolmatik company.
According to Çömez's post, Kontrolmatik shares, which were offered to the public at 6.90 TL, saw their historical peak at 352 TL at the end of 2023. During this period, the company's market value reached 70.2 billion TL. However, noting that the company's current market value has fallen to 2.38 billion TL, Çömez drew attention to the 67.82 billion TL loss in value in between.
Questioning how many investors were affected by the sharp decline in the company's shares, Çömez made assessments regarding the scale of the losses experienced.
12 million of the 20 million dollar bond is in pension funds
The issue Çömez primarily drew attention to was Kontrolmatik's bond issuance. Stating that it is seen in the company's annual report from a year ago that it carried out a 20 million dollar bond issuance with a three-year maturity, Çömez stated that a 12 million dollar portion (approximately 600 million TL) of these bonds is held in the portfolios of three separate pension funds.
The fact that the investment in question belongs to three funds under Türkiye Hayat ve Emeklilik had previously been brought to the agenda by YENİ Party İzmir MP Ümit Özlale. In the portfolio distribution shared by Özlale, the bond amounts in the three funds were listed as 4 million, 6 million, and 2 million dollars.
TMSF appointed as trustee: Company cannot continue its operations
The management of Kontrolmatik passed to the TMSF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund) with the decision of the Istanbul 10th Criminal Court of Peace dated October 26, 2026. The company confirmed the appointment of the trustee in a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on October 30.
In the statement, it was noted that the company experienced administrative and financial problems in its facilities and factories, and that a large portion of the employees left or were laid off due to financial difficulties. The same statement also included that the company cannot continue its operations under current conditions.
Kontrolmatik shares were moved to the Watchlist Market by Borsa İstanbul in June. The company's financial problems, disruptions in debt payments, and the sharp decline in share value have made the losses experienced by investors even more controversial.
Çömez: Who invested this nation's money?
Drawing attention to the possible effects of the developments at Kontrolmatik on pension savings, Turhan Çömez asked the following questions in his post:
"The robbery is deepening every day and new dimensions are emerging.
Who are those who set their eyes on the sweat and labor of this nation?
By whose decision was the labor, rights, and money of millions of retirees living below the hunger threshold invested in this profiteering company?
So, who is responsible for all of this?"
With Çömez's statement, questions have returned to the agenda regarding which institutions and managers made the decision to invest pension funds in Kontrolmatik bonds, what risk analyses were conducted during the investment, and what path was followed after the company fell into payment difficulties.
??They founded a software company, its name: Kontrolmatik! ??They offered it to the public at 6.90 TL. ??At the end of 2023, the share value hit a historical peak and rose to 352 TL. ??The company's market value became 70.2 billion TL. ??The current market value is 2.38 billion TL, meaning there is a loss of value of 67.82 billion TL. ??Meanwhile, who knows how many people were hurt, how many people lost what! ??In the company's annual report from a year ago, it is seen that it issued 20 million dollars in bonds with a 3-year maturity. ?12 million dollars of this (600 million TL) is in 3 pension funds. ??And as of yesterday, the management of Kontrolmatik passed to the TMSF trustee by court order. ??For now, the amount of the loss in the pension funds is not clear, but it is obvious that it is large. ??The robbery is deepening every day and new dimensions are emerging. ??Who are those who set their eyes on the sweat and labor of this nation? ??By whose decision was the labor, rights, and money of millions of retirees living below the hunger threshold invested in this profiteering company? ??So, who is responsible for all of this?
