Two separate fatal incidents occurred on October 24 on the Marmaray, one of the most heavily used public transport lines in Istanbul. Services were disrupted for a time due to the incidents at the Florya Akvaryum and Ataköy stations.
In the first announcement made on Marmaray's social media account, it was reported that there were delays in services due to a "sad incident" at the Florya Akvaryum station. The post was made around 14:40.

According to information obtained, an individual whose identity has not yet been disclosed took their own life at the Florya Akvaryum station. Following the incident, train services were operated on a single line for a while.
It was announced that a second incident occurred at the Ataköy station in the evening hours of the same day. In Marmaray's announcement around 19:30, it was stated that single-line operations were in effect and there were delays in services due to the incident at the Ataköy station.

In the announcement, passengers were asked to consider alternative transport options so as not to be affected by the delays. No further details were shared regarding the return of services to normal on the line following the two incidents.
