Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out against Can Holding for the crimes of 'establishing a criminal organization', 'smuggling', 'fraud', and 'laundering assets derived from crime'.

Within the scope of the operation, 121 companies, including Show TV and Habertürk, were seized by the TMSF.

The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) made a statement regarding the matter.

“Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) has been appointed as trustee to 121 companies affiliated with Can Holding by court order.

During this period, the primary goal of the TMSF is to protect the rights of company employees and third parties and to ensure that all operations continue without disruption. For this purpose, meetings have also been held with company executives.

All companies under our responsibility will be managed with the understanding of a “prudent merchant” as required by legislation, and an environment of stability and trust will be maintained.

Furthermore, educational institutions operating within the group will be managed with a sense of public responsibility. Educational activities will continue without interruption, and the education of our students will be carried out safely with the contribution of our teachers and the support of our parents.”
