Hack allegations against Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, have caused sharp volatility in the cryptocurrency market. Changpeng Zhao, the founder and former CEO of Binance, known as CZ, stated that user funds are safe, while Binance announced that reports regarding a potential security issue are being investigated.

In a statement on his social media account, Zhao gave the message that "User funds are safe." In his post, Zhao noted that a hack attack against Binance might have occurred and expressed his appreciation for Tether and Circle for quickly freezing some assets.
User funds are safe. It appears there is a hack attack against Binance. I appreciate Tether freezing approximately 971 million dollars and Circle freezing approximately 823 million dollars in assets quickly. I no longer manage Binance.com, but as a shareholder, I expect all user losses to be fully covered.

BINANCE: OUR TEAMS ARE INVESTIGATING THE MATTER
In a statement from the Binance side, it was stated that teams are aware of reports regarding a potential security issue and are actively investigating the matter. The company announced that updates will be shared through official Binance channels once verified information is obtained.
The exchange also warned users against fraud attempts. The statement emphasized that unofficial links, messages, or requests asking for account information should not be trusted.

Following the allegations, a downward movement was observed in cryptocurrency prices. Bitcoin lost 2 percent of its value in the last hour, falling to 78 thousand 800 dollars, while the decline in Ethereum reached 3 percent. The loss in BNB, which was launched by Binance in 2017, was recorded at 6 percent.

While Binance's investigation continues, it is stated that users should be careful against announcements and directions outside of the company's official channels. Confirmed technical details regarding the incident have not yet been shared with the public.
