KKM continues to melt
The amount in foreign-exchange-protected TL deposit and participation accounts has fallen to 2 trillion 32.8 billion TL.
According to information in the weekly bulletin of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), foreign-exchange-protected TL deposit and participation accounts have decreased from 2 trillion 69 billion TL to 2 trillion 32.8 billion TL.
Foreign-exchange-protected deposits continued their downward momentum last week. This decline indicated that outflows from foreign-exchange-protected deposits accelerated compared to the previous two weeks.
In the same week, loans fell from 13 trillion 683 billion TL to 13 trillion 627.8 billion TL, and deposits fell from 16 trillion 392 billion TL to 493.1 billion TL.
Consumer loans decreased from 1 trillion 704 billion TL to 1 trillion 703.2 billion TL, and individual credit cards decreased from 1 trillion 477 billion TL to 1 trillion 435.2 billion TL.
Non-performing loans, however, rose from 212.4 billion TL to 214.9 billion TL.
The data covers the week ending June 21.
