Regulations updated for R&D and design activity support
The deduction, exemption, support, and incentive amounts applied to support research and development projects in R&D and technology centers, as well as technology development zone enterprises, have been redetermined.
The Presidential Decree regarding the matter has been published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, corporate tax payers who benefit from a deduction amount of 2 million liras or more on their annual tax returns in R&D and technology center enterprises and technology development zones will transfer 3 percent of this amount to a temporary account in their liabilities. The obligation for the amount to be transferred will be limited to 100 million liras on an annual basis.
The decision will enter into force on January 1, 2024.
