Within the scope of the Teaching Profession Law, the regulation for those to be appointed as teachers is taking shape. Details regarding the MEB-AGS, which will be conducted by ÖSYM on July 13, 2025, have been clarified. So, has the subject distribution for the MEB Teacher Academy Entrance Exam (AGS) been announced? Here are the details regarding this topic.

HOW MANY QUESTIONS WILL BE ON THE MEB AGS?

Teacher candidates will be asked 80 questions in the AGS, which is part of the MEB-AGS. The ÖABT session will consist of 50 questions aimed at assessing the candidates' field knowledge.

IT WILL BE HELD IN 2 SESSIONS

The exam will be held in 2 sessions: the 2025 Academy Entrance Exam (AGS) and the 2025 Teacher Content Knowledge Test (ÖABT).

HOW WILL THE SCORE BE CALCULATED?

For teacher candidates in the branches of Biology, Geography, Science, Physics, Elementary Mathematics, Chemistry/Chemical Technology, Mathematics, Preschool, Guidance, Primary School Teaching, Social Studies, History, Turkish, Turkish Language and Literature, Physical Education, and Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge/Imam Hatip High School Vocational Courses, the MEB-AGS score will be calculated by combining 50 percent of the score obtained from the AGS and 50 percent of the ÖABT score.

For candidates in German, Arabic, Chinese, French, Persian, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and English teaching, the AGS score and the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS or e-YDS) score will be taken as the basis. Accordingly, the candidates' MEB-AGS score will be calculated by adding 50 percent of the AGS score and 50 percent of the YDS score.

In the score calculation for foreign language fields, the highest score obtained by candidates from YDS or e-YDS exams taken in the same year and before the AGS will be taken into account. For other teaching fields where ÖABT or YDS is not planned to be applied, the MEB-AGS score will be formed solely by the AGS.

WHAT WILL THE MEB AGS SUBJECT DISTRIBUTION BE?

No official announcement has been made for the AGS. However, according to information obtained from MEB sources, the question distribution is expected to be as follows;

Verbal Ability

- Meaning in Words, Meaning in Sentences, Formation of Expression, Meaning in Paragraphs, and Verbal Logic - 18.75 (%)

Numerical Ability

- Basic Mathematics, Graph and Table Interpretation, Logical Reasoning Problems - 18.75 (%)

History

a) History of Pre-Ottoman Turkish States (Political, social, economic, and cultural developments)

b) Ottoman History (Political, social, economic, and cultural developments from the 13th century to the beginning of the 20th century)

c) Principles of Atatürk and History of Revolutions (Political, social, economic, and cultural developments in Turkish history from the beginning of the 20th century to the middle of the 20th century, from the collapse of the Ottoman Empire to the end of the Second World War)

ç) Contemporary Turkish and World History (Political, social, economic, and cultural developments in the world from the beginning of the 20th century to the present; in Turkey from the Second World War to the present)
