AKOM issues warning to Istanbul residents with specific timing: Heavy rain is coming!
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that rainfall in the city will intensify starting this evening and will remain heavy until tomorrow noon.
In a statement released by the IBB-affiliated AKOM, it was noted that the rainfall, which is expected to be seen intermittently and regionally throughout the day, will spread across the entire province starting at 22:00 and increase in intensity.
The statement noted that the rainfall is expected to continue to be heavy until noon tomorrow.
The statement, which conveyed that heavy rainfall could be seen regionally for 30-60 minutes during the day, warned that this could be accompanied by negative consequences such as short-term flooding and ponding.
The statement emphasized the need to be prepared and cautious against the heavy rainfall expected until noon tomorrow.
