The heavy rainfall that has been effective in Istanbul for approximately two weeks has been reflected in the occupancy rates of the dams. According to the current data shared by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the upward trend in the city's dams continues.
According to the information shared, the general occupancy rate of Istanbul's dams was above the 50 percent level on October 28. It was stated that there has been activity in the levels of the dams throughout October due to the effect of the rainfall.
At the Darlık Dam, measures have been taken against the risk of flooding that could be caused by potential new rainfall. Following the relevant assessments, it was decided to carry out a controlled water discharge at the dam.
Dam levels in the city are being closely monitored, especially with the course of autumn rainfall. İSKİ's current occupancy data is important for tracking changes in Istanbul's water resources.
