Yellow alert from Meteorology for 9 provinces: Air temperatures to drop, heavy rain expected

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the northern and inner parts of our country will be partly to very cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms expected in the east of the Marmara region, the Eastern Mediterranean, the north and east of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, and the surroundings of Erzincan, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Central Black Sea (except Çorum), the coasts of the Eastern Black Sea, the coasts of Kastamonu, and the surroundings of Bartın and Sinop.

Air temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the western parts, with no significant change elsewhere, and are expected to remain below seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is expected to blow from the north and northwest, and from the south and southwest in the southeastern parts, generally light to occasionally moderate.

In the Meteorology report, a yellow alert was issued for Trabzon, Samsun, Rize, Ordu, Giresun, Tokat, Kastamonu, Amasya, and Artvin.
