The seismic activity that began in the Aegean Sea on January 28 has been continuing for days.

More than 10 thousand people have been evacuated from the island of Santorini, which has become the center of the earthquakes. It was learned that neighboring islands are also preparing for evacuation.

Due to the earthquakes, which have also put Turkey's Aegean coast on alert, the Greek state has declared a state of emergency on the island of Santorini.

In a statement made by the authorities, it was stated that there is a "serious risk of landslides and rockfalls" due to the tremors.

It was stated that a state of emergency has been declared and will remain in effect until March 1.

On the other hand, in a report on the Greek state television ERT, it was noted that police presence and controls have been increased to ensure the security of the belongings of those who have left the island due to the increase in seismic activity in recent days.
