Minister of Labor and Social Security Işıkhan announced that the minimum wage, effective from January 1, 2025, has been set at a net 22 thousand 104 liras. With the determination of the minimum wage, many payments and wages have also changed.
Following this increase, many wages will also change. From unemployment benefits to GSS premiums and BES deductions, here are the payments that will change in our lives after the minimum wage hike:
The highest unemployment benefit increased from 15,880.66 TL to 20 thousand 644.86 TL.
The daily GSS premium increased from 600.80 TL to 781.04 TL.
The highest optional insurance premium increased from 48,006.05 TL to 62 thousand 407.87 TL.
The lowest optional insurance premium increased from 6,400.80 TL to 8 thousand 321.04 TL.
The lowest Bağkur premium increased from 5,950.75 TL to 7 thousand 735.98 TL.
The BES deduction increased from 600.07 TL to 780.09 TL.
The monthly premium payment for domestic workers increased from 6,500.81 TL to 8 thousand 451.05 TL.
The lowest daily amount for military service, maternity, legal internship, and doctoral debt restructuring increased from 213.23 TL to 277.20 TL.
The highest daily amount for military service, maternity, legal internship, and doctoral debt restructuring increased from 1,600 TL to 2,080 TL.
The intern salary increased from 5,100.64 TL to 6,630.83 TL.
The severance pay base, which was 20,002 TL, will rise to 26,004 TL with the determination of the new minimum wage.
