The performance of the big derby referee Slavko Vincic this season: He has shown no mercy!

Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe will face off in the 25th week of the Süper Lig. The name who will blow the whistle in the giant derby is Slavko Vincic from the Football Association of Slovenia.

The Slovenian referee has stood out with his strict decisions in the 20 matches he has officiated this season. Serving in various organizations such as the UEFA Champions League, Slovenian Prva Liga, Nations League, Greek Super League, Saudi Pro League, and the United Arab Emirates league, Vincic has issued 83 yellow cards, 2 red cards following a second yellow, and 1 straight red card during this period. He also pointed to the penalty spot 4 times.

OFFICIATED THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

The experienced referee has taken charge of important matches in the international arena.

Vincic officiated the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund last season, and also took charge of the UEFA Europa League final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers in the 2021-22 season.

HE ISSUED A YELLOW CARD TO KENAN YILDIZ IN HIS LAST MATCH

The 45-year-old Vincic most recently blew the whistle in the Champions League Play-Off round match where PSV Eindhoven hosted Juventus.

In the match that went into stoppage time, Vincic reached for his yellow card 4 times, and our national footballer Kenan Yıldız was among the players who received a card.

Before the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby, Vincic will also officiate a match in his home country on Saturday.

He will come to Turkey after officiating the match between Bravo and Koper in the Slovenian 1st League.

The Slovenian referee has previously officiated one match each for Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. Vincic, who officiated Galatasaray's goalless draw away against Club Brugge in the Champions League in 2019, also blew the whistle in Fenerbahçe's 1-1 draw against Benfica in the Champions League qualifying round in 2018.
