6th wave in Gülistan Doku investigation: 4 more suspects arrested
The processing of 5 out of 11 suspects detained in the Gülistan Doku investigation has been completed; the number of those arrested has risen to 36.
New arrest decisions have been issued in the investigation conducted into the Gülistan Doku case. The police processing of 5 out of 11 suspects detained as part of the 6th wave of the investigation has been completed.
Following health checks, the suspects were referred to the Erzurum Courthouse and brought before a judge after their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor's office requested the arrest of 4 suspects and judicial control measures for 1 suspect.
In line with the prosecutor's request, the judge ordered the arrest of 4 suspects. One suspect was released under judicial control conditions.
With this decision, the number of people arrested in the investigation conducted by the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices has risen to 36. It was reported that the processing of the other 6 suspects in custody is ongoing.
As part of the 6th wave of operations, which were carried out simultaneously in 7 provinces, detention, search, and seizure procedures were initiated against 11 individuals, including retired and active police officers, over allegations of tampering with evidence and interfering with the investigation process.
