TMSF appointed as trustee for Ahbap's commercial subsidiaries

The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) has been appointed as trustee for the economic enterprises and companies that are subsidiaries of the Ahbap Association. It was reported that the decision was made within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

According to the statement made by the TMSF, three individuals were directly appointed by the court as administrative trustees for the association through a separate decision. Thus, the direct management of the Ahbap Association and the management of the commercial structures affiliated with the association will be carried out through different trustee mechanisms.

Evaluating the request of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Istanbul 8th Criminal Judgeship of Peace ruled that the administrative authority over all of the association's assets be transferred to the administrative trustee. The decision stated that the association's activities have ceased, its accounts and assets have been placed under precautionary measures, and a dissolution process has been initiated.

In accordance with the Law on Associations and relevant legislation, Lawyer Rıdvan Can, Lawyer Mustafa Göktuğ Kaya, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kasım Han have been appointed as independent trustees for the management of the association's real estate, vehicles, and cash assets in bank accounts.
