As written by İsmail Arı: Request to recall the book 'Menzil’in Kasası'

It has been reported that an investigation has been launched against BirGün reporter İsmail Arı due to his book titled "Menzil’in Kasası", in which he describes the commercial relations and public organization of the Menzil Community.

Kamil İnce, a member of the Association of Industrialists and Businessmen (TÜMSİAD), which is the business association of the Menzil Community, filed a criminal complaint against İsmail Arı regarding a section in the book.

In his complaint, İnce requested that the book be recalled and destroyed, and that Arı be punished.

The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation following the complaint.

It was stated that Arı's testimony would be taken as part of the investigation.

THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY REFUSED TO SELL THE BOOK

On the other hand, it was understood some time ago that D&R, which is affiliated with Kalyon Holding—known for the billions of liras in public tenders it has received—was not selling the "Menzil’in Kasası" book.

D&R, which has over 200 branches across the country, tells those who want to purchase the book that it is "not in stock."
