First statement from partner regarding the death of MasterChef champion Eren Kaşıkçı

The passing of MasterChef Turkey 2021 champion chef Eren Kaşıkçı at his home in Kilyos, Istanbul, has caused sadness in the gastronomy world and among his loved ones.

Upon receiving a report from relatives who could not reach Kaşıkçı, who was said to live alone, teams went to the house and found the famous chef unresponsive. Medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that Kaşıkçı had lost his life.

While the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident, a forensic report is awaited to confirm the cause of death.

His partner, Mikail Malkoçoğlu, who made the report after they could not reach Kaşıkçı, stated that there is no definitive information yet regarding the cause of death. Malkoçoğlu said, "We will also learn the result once the forensic report is released. However, the initial impression of the medical team was that he suffered a heart attack."

It was reported that Eren Kaşıkçı aimed to expand his business, "Kızıl Sakal Sandviç & Burger" in Kadıköy, and was working intensely on a new branch planned to open in Pendik Kurtköy. It was noted that Kaşıkçı last visited his workplace in Kadıköy the day before yesterday.
