Oğuzhan Uğur reacts to news of forest fire martyrs: Why are we dying, brother?
While the loss of 10 forest workers who died while responding to a forest fire in Eskişehir has caused great sorrow across the country, Oğuzhan Uğur has issued a striking reaction to the news of death that arrives almost every day.
Oğuzhan Uğur, who closely follows the country's agenda with his YouTube broadcasts, also draws attention with his social media posts.
Uğur most recently showed a striking reaction regarding the deaths that occurred in the forest fire in Eskişehir.
Reminding that our country is not at war, Oğuzhan Uğur reacted to all these deaths by asking, 'Why are we dying, brother?'
Oğuzhan Uğur wrote the following:
"There is war to our right, war to our left. We are literally praying that it doesn't spill over to us. So why are we burying our women, our youth, our children, our babies, brother?! If we are at peace, why are we mourning for our soldiers, our firefighters, our miners?
Did we enter a war and did they bomb our forests? Why are we burning, brother!?
We are grateful that there is no war. We are grateful, but... Which enemy, under which flag, could have caused us as much harm as we have caused ourselves? If there were a war, if the enemy came with tanks, cannons, and planes...
We are the heirs of a glorious and honorable history; of course, we would stand tall against them. At least we would know why we were dying... Now there is no front, no side, no war. So, while we are at peace, while walking, working, even while on vacation... Why are we dying, brother?
May God grant us a good end."
