Retired specialist sergeant shoots his son and ex-wife, then commits suicide

The incident occurred in an apartment building on Seyit Ahmet Arvasi Boulevard in the Namık Kemal neighborhood of the district. According to reports, Kezban Kabukçu (52), a housewife and mother of two living in the Marmaris district of Muğla, and retired specialist sergeant Enis Demir (49) had divorced a month and a half ago.

After the divorce, Kezban Kabukçu moved in with her sister, N.K., who lives in the Ceyhan district of Adana. In the evening, Enis Demir arrived at his former sister-in-law's house, stating that he wanted to reconcile with his ex-wife.

However, an argument broke out between the couple, and Enis Demir used his service pistol to shoot his ex-wife, Kezban, and then his 13-year-old son, Y.E. Demir. Enis Demir then committed suicide with the same weapon.

Kezban Kabukçu's sister, N.K., and neighbors who heard the gunshots reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the area.

Medical teams determined that Kezban Kabukçu and Enis Demir had lost their lives, while Y.E., who was wounded in the abdomen and arm, was taken to Ceyhan State Hospital. It was learned that Y.E.'s condition is critical.

The bodies of Enis Demir and Kezban Kabukçu were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for autopsy, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
