5-year-old child reported missing found dead
In the Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa, 5-year-old Miraç İdikurt, who was being searched for in the fields after being reported missing, was found dead on the roof of his home.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the rural neighborhood of Büyük Yenice in the Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa. 5-year-old Miraç İdikurt, who left his home at noon, did not return.
When the child, whose family was worried about his safety, could not be found anywhere, health, AFAD, and gendarmerie teams were notified. The gendarmerie, AFAD, search and rescue teams, and citizens launched a search operation for the missing child in the surrounding area.
The teams, who searched every inch of the area, found the child motionless on the roof of his house 11 hours later, around 23:30 at night.
The child, who received initial intervention at the scene, was taken to Ceylanpınar State Hospital by ambulance.
The young child, who was taken under treatment there, could not be saved and lost his life. It was learned that the child, who was initially suspected to have been electrocuted, will have his exact cause of death determined after an autopsy.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
