Accident on the emergency lane: Shuttle driver loses his life

In the Pamukkale district of Denizli, shuttle driver Ahmet Ak lost his life after being struck by a minibus traveling in the emergency lane.
The accident occurred on the Pınarkent neighborhood section of the Denizli-Afyonkarahisar highway. According to reports, 42-year-old Ahmet Ak wanted to cross the road to retrieve his phone, which he had forgotten at a market.
At that moment, a minibus traveling in the emergency lane alongside vehicles waiting at a red light struck Ak. Thrown onto the road by the impact, Ak was severely injured.
Despite the intervention of doctors at a private hospital where he was taken by medical teams, Ahmet Ak could not be saved. The minibus driver, A.G., was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
It was stated that the accident was captured by a security camera at a nearby business. The footage shows the moment Ak was thrown onto the road after being struck by the minibus coming from the emergency lane while he was at the side of the road.
