A bonito catch that brought smiles to the faces of fishermen took place in the Ayancık district of Sinop. Thousands of bonito were caught in the nets of fisherman Ufuk Yılmaz, who set sail with his boat off the coast of Gebelit.

When the bonito, stated to be approximately 5,000 in number, did not fit into the boat, another fishing boat in the area came to help. The catch, transported by two boats, was brought to the port.

The bonito on the boats that docked at the port were filled into crates and loaded onto stalls and transport vehicles. Yılmaz, who carried out one of the most bountiful catches of the season, stated that the abundance in the sea pleased both the fishermen and the consumers.
