Car mounts sidewalk in Üsküdar: 4 high school students on their way to school injured

In a traffic accident that occurred in the morning hours in Üsküdar, Istanbul, a car lost control, mounted the sidewalk, and struck high school students on their way to school. 4 students were injured in the accident.

The accident took place around 09:00 in front of Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School on Tıbbiye Street in the Selimiye neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 34 KG 3055, driven by Yakup Müjdat Türer (73), collided with the car with license plate 34 DR 9965, driven by Nail Vurgen.

It was stated that the driver lost steering control following the collision, causing the car to mount the sidewalk. The vehicle then struck 4 high school students who were walking on the sidewalk at that moment.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention by medical teams, the injured students were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance.

It was learned that the injured students are not in life-threatening condition. While police teams took security measures around the school, an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
