Individual who cut down tree in front of business in Fatih caught on camera
It is alleged that an individual cut down a tree on Nuruosmaniye Street during the night, claiming it blocked the front of their business. An investigation has been launched.
In Istanbul's Fatih district, it is alleged that a tree in front of a business on Nuruosmaniye Street was cut down with a saw during the night. It was stated that the incident occurred on September 11 and that the person alleged to have cut the tree was captured on security camera.
In the footage, a person is seen intervening with the trunk of the tree using a saw. Locals who noticed the tree was missing in the morning hours reported the situation to municipal teams.
Emir Tülay, a local shopkeeper, stated that they were unaware of the incident and noted that the tree did not create any situation that bothered their business. Tülay said, "There is no such thing as it blocking the front of our shop. There is nothing that bothers our shop either."
Tülay explained that a new sapling had been planted to replace the old tree previously, but they noticed that this sapling was also missing the next day. It was learned that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
