İSKİ announces: What is the occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams?
According to İSKİ's September 10 data, the average occupancy rate of dams in Istanbul has reached 40.06 percent. The lowest level was measured at Pabuçdere.
The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) has shared the dam occupancy data for Thursday, September 10, 2026. Accordingly, the general occupancy rate in the dams that meet the city's water needs has declined to 40.06 percent.
The data showed that the downward trend in the dams continues due to increased consumption and temperatures during the summer months. The average occupancy rate, which was measured at 58.68 percent in mid-July, has decreased significantly by September.
According to the latest table released by İSKİ, while occupancy rates in the Ömerli, Darlık, and Elmalı dams on the Anatolian Side remain above the city average, lower levels were recorded in some basins on the European Side.
