Land dispute between stepbrothers in Şanlıurfa: 2 dead
Two people lost their lives in an armed fight between stepbrothers due to a land dispute in the Birecik district of Şanlıurfa.
According to the information obtained, the incident took place in the rural neighborhood of Cibinören. It is alleged that A.K. (40) and his stepbrothers Hamza (30) and Sabri Kılıç (43), who had a long-standing feud due to a land dispute, began to argue.
As the argument escalated into an armed fight, A.K. shot and wounded his stepbrothers Hamza and Sabri Kılıç. Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The two brothers, who were taken to Birecik State Hospital by medical teams, could not be saved despite the doctors' interventions and lost their lives. The bodies of the brothers were taken to the morgue of the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.
The fleeing stepbrother was caught
A.K., who fled the scene after killing his brothers, was caught by security forces. The suspect was taken into custody and brought to the police station.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
