Passenger bus overturns on Northern Marmara Motorway
A bus overturned on the Northern Marmara Motorway after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. The fact that there were no passengers on the bus prevented a tragedy.
The accident occurred at approximately 21:20 on the Edirne-bound section of the Northern Marmara Motorway near Pendik. The bus, whose driver's name and license plate could not be determined, allegedly lost control due to heavy rain while heading to the bus terminal for an additional trip.

The bus, which went out of control, first hit the dirt area on the right side of the road and then came to a stop after tipping over on its side. The driver and the assistant were slightly injured in the accident.

Other drivers in the vicinity notified the emergency services. Upon notification, fire, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
While the medical teams arriving at the scene transported the injured individuals to Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Training and Research Hospital, the gendarmerie teams launched an investigation into the incident.
