Woman found dead in vacant lot in Başakşehir, killed with a stone
In Istanbul's Başakşehir district, a woman was found dead in a vacant lot, having been killed by a blow to the head with a stone. The woman's fiancé has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred in the evening hours on İstiklal Street in the Şahintepe neighborhood of Istanbul's Başakşehir district.
According to reports, citizens who saw a woman lying motionless in a vacant lot on the street in Şahintepe notified the police. Upon the report, police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Police teams conducting an investigation at the scene determined that the woman had been killed by a blow to the head with a stone.
Efforts to identify the body revealed it belonged to 34-year-old Sultan Ç. Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, Sultan Ç.'s body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
In connection with the incident, V.Ç., who was learned to be Sultan Ç.'s fiancé, was taken into custody by police teams.
