Shake-up in pro-government media: First statement from Cem Küçük after leaving TGRT Haber

Journalist and author Cem Küçük has announced his departure from TGRT Haber and Türkiye Gazetesi, both part of the İhlas Media group. Küçük was a columnist for Türkiye Gazetesi and hosted the morning program "Good Morning Turkey with Cem Küçük" on TGRT Haber.

While various claims regarding the departure have circulated in political circles, Küçük rejected these allegations in his statement. Küçük, "We have parted ways with TGRT Haber and Türkiye Gazetesi, where I have worked for 10 years and where we produced many high-impact reports alongside team members who are each brands in their own right, from the camera crew to the reporters in the field." he stated.

Stating that the reports written about the separation process do not reflect the truth, Küçük said, "None of what is written about my departure reflects the truth. I just laugh at what is being written." he said.

In his statement, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip ErdoğanKüçük, who also emphasized his support for, "My belief in our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his ideal of a 'Great and Powerful Turkey' has never diminished. It will continue to grow from here on out." he added.
