Sedef Kabaş summarizes the events of the last 2 weeks and rebels: Everything in the name of justice, democracy, and freedom in Turkey is being shattered

Journalist Sedef Kabaş made a striking post on her X account.

Drawing attention to the intensity of the agenda in Turkey, Kabaş recalled the arrest of Ümit Özdağ, the fire tragedy in Bolu, the investigations launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, the lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), the 'expert witness' investigation into journalists, and the decision overturned by the Court of Cassation in the Pınar Gültekin murder case.

At the end of her post, Kabaş stated, "Even what has happened in just 2 weeks is proof that everything in the name of justice, democracy, and freedom in Turkey is being systematically shattered..."

For 2 weeks, I was on the other side of the world, in Argentina... 

When I returned, 80 people in the country had lost their lives in a fire at a luxury hotel due to obvious negligence; the Minister of Tourism had not resigned.

Lieutenants who are devoted to Atatürk, the founder of the TSK, the savior of the country, and the eternal commander-in-chief, were dismissed from the TSK for saying "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" at their graduation ceremony.

New lawsuits were filed against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has become a nightmare for Erdoğan; he was summoned to testify; subsequently, the public statements he was to make were blocked again by the AKP government on the grounds of security.

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who bothers the AKP with his bold statements, was imprisoned on charges of insulting the President.

76-year-old Nermin Hanım, who criticized the government in a street interview, was arrested; Halk TV Editor-in-Chief Suat Toktaş, journalist Barış Pehlivan, and presenter Seda Selek were detained for broadcasting the issue of the "pro-government expert witness" in the İmamoğlu case; historian and author Çiğdem Bayraktar was thrown into prison because of a tweet in which she criticized this distorted and fake order with biting words.

As a result of an operation by the French navy on a ship belonging to a Turkish shipowner departing from Istanbul, 9 tons of cocaine with a market value of 3 billion dollars were seized... The news was ignored by the pro-government media...

Those who received an electricity bill of 1050 TL would now pay 2100 TL to the state.

The State Supervisory Council, which reports to the President, was granted the authority to dismiss civil servants at every level without a judicial decision, beyond mere supervision... The judiciary was now out of the loop... 

In the Court of Cassation decision regarding a criminal who burned a young girl (#PınarGültekin) to death, it was concluded that he did "NOT kill with monstrous feelings."
