August poll average released: Crisis in CHP shows its effect, AKP on the rise!

The average of 11 different public opinion polls published in the August 2026 period has revealed a new picture regarding the current vote shares of the parties. According to data compiled from the results of Ada Araştırma, ALF, AREA, ASAL, BETİMAR, GENAR, HBS, MAK, Optimar, Özdemir, and SONAR, the AKP maintained its position as the leading party with an increase in its vote share.

In the consolidated average, the AKP's vote share increased by 0.6 points compared to the previous period, reaching 33.1 percent. The People's Alliance's other partner, the MHP, also reached the 7.8 percent level with a 0.4-point increase, placing it in fourth place in the rankings.

The YENİ Party, which was established following the legal disputes and the nullity crisis within the CHP, stood out as the party with the highest vote share within the opposition. Despite losing 3.6 points compared to the previous average, the YENİ Party took second place with a 22.1 percent vote share.

The vote share of the CHP, which is stated to have been affected by the aforementioned process, fell by 0.4 points to 7.7 percent. With this result, the CHP appeared in fifth place in the August average.

CURRENT STATUS OF OTHER PARTIES

In the August average, the DEM Party took third place with a 9.1 percent vote share. A 0.2-point increase was calculated in the party's vote compared to the previous period. The İYİ Party rose to 7.3 percent with a 2.4-point increase.

The Zafer Party's vote share was measured at 3.2 percent, with a 0.1-point increase observed for the party. The Anahtar Party fell to 2.9 percent, losing 0.1 points. The New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) maintained its previous level at 2.6 percent.

The Workers' Party of Turkey's (TİP) vote share was calculated at 1.0 percent; this rate represents a 0.1-point decrease compared to the previous average. The total vote share of other parties increased by 0.5 points to 3.2 percent.
