DEM Party's Pervin Buldan announces: Plan for a 5-person delegation to visit Imralı

Following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statements regarding a potential visit to Imralı, political circles have become active concerning the formation and participants of an Imralı delegation. Bahçeli had stated that members of a resolution commission should go to Imralı and hold direct talks with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Following Devlet Bahçeli's remarks, the question of whether Parliament Speaker and 'Terror-Free Turkey' Commission Chair Numan Kurtulmuş would take part in an Imralı visit came to the agenda. Bahçeli had emphasized that this meeting should be "face-to-face" and that it was important to receive messages from Öcalan firsthand.
STATEMENT FROM PERVİN BULDAN: 5-PERSON DELEGATION PLAN
DEM Party's Pervin Buldan provided information during a broadcast regarding the delegation that would take part in the resolution process. Buldan stated that a 5-person delegation consisting of representatives from parties with parliamentary groups is planned to go to Imralı. Buldan said, "The information given to us is this. A 5-person delegation consisting of representatives from parties with groups is planned to go to Imralı. There is no clarity on whether there are any parties without groups that wish to go."
WILL NUMAN KURTULMUŞ GO TO IMRALI?
Buldan also made statements regarding whether Numan Kurtulmuş would participate in the Imralı visit. Stating, "There is no possibility of Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş going to the island. Such a thing has never been on the agenda, and Öcalan has not expressed this either," Buldan indicated that a visit by Kurtulmuş is not under consideration.
