President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at his party's rally in Şırnak.
Giving a message on the fight against terrorism, Erdoğan said, "Now, with the security corridor we have begun to establish along our southern borders, we are completely preventing the fire around us from spreading into our country. By building a barrier between terrorist organizations and our borders, we are distancing ourselves from both the imperialists and their pawns."
"THE STATE HAS MADE MISTAKES"
Stating in his speech that there were those who wanted to sever the bond between Şırnak and the state, Erdoğan used the expression, "The state has certainly made mistakes, but the separatist organization has acted as a pawn in a dark scenario. We have disrupted this insidious game."
Erdoğan also said the following:
"There were those who tried every way to come between us and Şırnak. They tried to sever the bond between this entire region and us, and our country. Can there be a body without a heart? Throughout the history of the Republic, our people in many parts of our country have suffered hardships and distress. Underdevelopment was intended to be the fate not just of this region, but of every city except for a small segment.
The fascist practices that left their mark on an era have plagued the people who wanted to uphold the values of this country."
