A fire broke out for an as-yet-undetermined reason at noon in the emergency room of Akdeniz University Hospital in Antalya.
Upon noticing the fire, hospital officials immediately notified the fire department. Teams dispatched to the scene intervened quickly, while heavy smoke filled the interior of the hospital.
Due to the increasing smoke, patients receiving treatment in the emergency room and medical staff were evacuated.
