First statement from Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez after joining the AKP

Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez, who resigned from the CHP to join the AKP, made his first statement on his social media account following his party change.
Starting his post with the words “Vira Bismillah” (Full steam ahead), Çerkez stated that his primary goal is to fulfill the promises made to the people of Çekmeköy before the election, to bring new projects to the district, and to leave behind lasting works.
Expressing that he decided to join the ranks of the AKP as a result of his evaluations, Çerkez thanked AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AKP İstanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir, and AKP Çekmeköy District Chairman Fatih Sırmacı.
Stating that they will implement the pending projects in Çekmeköy, Çerkez noted that the first step will be the “Green Road Project,” which is expected to alleviate the traffic and transportation problems in the district.
It was also noted that Çerkez closed his post to comments.
