Presidential race heats up! Survey results revealed
According to ASAL Research's May survey, when asked "If an election were held this Sunday," the most preferred candidate was AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with 27.5%. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş ranked second with 23%, while Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu placed third with 18.1%.
In a survey conducted by ASAL Research between May 10-14 with 2,000 people across 26 provinces, participants were asked the question: "If a presidential election were held this Sunday, which of the following names would you like to see as President?"
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 27.5%
Mansur Yavaş: 23.0%
Ekrem İmamoğlu: 18.1%
Özgür Özel: 4.0%
Selahattin Demirtaş: 3.7%
Hakan Fidan: 3.5%
Selçuk Bayraktar: 2.3%
Ümit Özdağ: 1.8%
Fatih Erbakan: 1.7%
Yavuz Ağıralioğlu: 0.9%
Ali Babacan: 0.9%
Müsavat Dervişoğlu: 0.8%
Other: 2.0%
I will not vote: 3.2%
Undecided: 3.1%
No answer: 2.5%
I will cast an invalid vote: 1.0%
