Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Zeidi visited Anıtkabir and laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum before his official meetings in Ankara.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Zeidi visited Anıtkabir ahead of his meetings in Ankara. A post on the Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office social media account stated that Zeidi laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and observed a moment of silence.
A delegation including Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat accompanied Zeidi during the visit. The post also included photographs of the Anıtkabir program.
Zeidi is expected to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkish officials in Ankara. It was reported that cooperation in the fields of economy, water, security, and investment will be discussed during the meetings.
Regional developments, the implementation of existing agreements, and joint infrastructure projects between the two countries are also expected to be on the agenda during the talks.
