Kılıçdaroğlu takes the CHP podium after 1009 days: 27 deputies attended the group meeting

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was stated to have been appointed as the CHP Chairman with the "absolute nullity" decision dated May 21, took the podium at his party's TBMM Group Meeting after a 1009-day hiatus.

In a process where the number of CHP seats in Parliament dropped to 44 following the move of Özgür Özel and 90 CHP deputies to the YENİ Party, the number of deputies attending Kılıçdaroğlu's group meeting remained at 27. It was observed that 17 deputies did not attend the meeting.

While the meeting hall was filled with the participation of the party organization, the limited attendance at the deputy level drew attention. The recent debates over group leadership within the CHP and the intra-party opposition toward Kılıçdaroğlu were also reflected in the meeting's attendance figures.
