The Ministry of Interior announced that Siirt Governor Kemal Kızılkaya has been appointed as the trustee.
According to the report by Sözcü, Kızılkaya was scolded by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his tenure as the Governor of Bilecik in 2023 at the 'Söğüt Gold Mine Facility Opening and First Gold Pouring Ceremony' because he could not answer the question, "Where are the damaged roads?"

Erdoğan: I am not asking you about the Söğüt-Bozüyük stretch. Where is the place that is currently damaged and problematic, Governor?
Governor: The damaged road is 2 kilometers, sir. It is being built.
