Mansur Yavaş announces he will not be able to attend the Saraçhane rally
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş had announced that he would not be able to attend the rally his party is holding in Saraçhane. Yavaş also explained the reason for his absence.
To mark the 100th day in prison for the CHP members arrested during an operation in Istanbul on March 19, the CHP will hold a major rally in Saraçhane this evening at 20:30 under the slogan "100 KARASI" (A Stain of 100 Days).
However, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced that he would not be able to attend this event.
Stating that he will be attending the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum, Yavaş said, "This is my call to all opposition parties and everyone who believes in democracy.
If we do not act together, we will lose not only today but also the future.
If this country is to stand back up, we can only achieve this by being one and together.
That ballot box will come, and justice will return.
We will bring this country to bright tomorrows all together," he stated.
