Mass resignation in CHP Erzincan branch: Executives and some mayors leave the party
A large number of executives and party members, including Provincial Chairman Cevdet Ersoy, announced that they have resigned from their positions and their CHP membership.
It has been announced that a large number of executives and party members have resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) Erzincan branch. According to the written statement, the resignations were announced following a consultation meeting held at the CHP Erzincan Provincial Headquarters.
The statement indicated that CHP Erzincan Provincial Chairman Cevdet Ersoy and provincial board members, as well as Central District Chairman Ali Aras and his administration, have resigned from their positions and party memberships. It was reported that district chairmen and their administrations, Çağlayan Mayor Çetin Çay, Mollaköy Mayor Cihangir Kaya, municipal council members, provincial general assembly members, and some executives from the youth and women's branches were also among those who resigned.
It was stated that the individuals who resigned declared that they would continue their political activities under the umbrella of the "New Party" (Yeni Parti).
