Özgür Özel responds to logo controversy: 'It will be finalized at the convention'
New Party Chairman Özgür Özel stated that the current design is the party's name, not its logo, and that the official logo will be finalized at the party convention.
New Party Chairman Özgür Özel made a statement regarding the discussions surrounding the party's logo. Özel clarified that the current visual circulating in the public eye is not the party's actual logo.
Speaking in response to a question posed by journalist Deniz Zeyrek on his YouTube broadcast, Özel said, "This is not our party's logo; it is our party's name. We designed our party's name in a way that is visible, creates awareness, and is memorable."
Stating that different options will be evaluated for the actual logo, Özel indicated that a competition could be opened if necessary. Özel added, "If necessary, we will open a competition for the actual logo, and we will look at the suggestions that come in from that competition. That new logo will then be finalized at our convention," he said.
Özel also mentioned that the convention is planned to be held between the end of October and the beginning of November. Thus, the party's permanent logo is expected to be clarified during the convention process.
