Aydın City Hospital, which was included in the investment program by the Ministry of Health in 2020, had its foundation laid in November 2021. AKP officials promised for years that the hospital would be ready by 2023. However, a significant slowdown was experienced in the construction throughout 2023, and it was announced at the end of the year that only 40 percent of the hospital was completed.

AN OPENING THAT CAME AFTER YEARS

After a long wait, Aydın City Hospital finally became ready for opening as 2026 began. The hospital was completed not in 2023, but in 2026, and is counting down the days for its opening. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Aydın again after 11 years.

THE REGION'S LARGEST HEALTH INVESTMENT IN THE DISTRICT

Aydın City Hospital is being built on an area of 140 decares and is promoted as one of the largest health investments in the region. The hospital will feature 365 outpatient clinic rooms, 34 operating theaters, 230 intensive care beds, 45 hemodialysis units, 60 palliative care beds, and a parking lot with a capacity of 2,269 vehicles.
