Resignations in CHP show no signs of stopping: Dismissed team joins Yeni Parti
The Aksaray provincial administration, which was dismissed by the CHP Headquarters, has announced that they have resigned from the party and will continue their political struggle within Yeni Parti.
The Aksaray provincial administration, which was dismissed by the CHP Headquarters, along with several party members, held a press conference in front of the CHP Provincial Headquarters building. Following the statement, the group announced that they had collectively resigned from the CHP.
Bilal Özdemir, who was removed from his post as the CHP Aksaray Provincial Chairman, argued in his statement that there was no longer any opportunity to struggle within the party to which they had dedicated years of effort. Özdemir claimed that the CHP has been distanced from Atatürk's principles, the rule of law, democracy, and the people.
Özdemir stated, "There is no longer any possibility of competing through democratic means within the CHP." Noting that they were leaving the party "with bleeding hearts," Özdemir announced that they would continue their political struggle in the future within Yeni Parti.
Following the press conference, the group marched to the Aksaray provincial building of Yeni Parti, accompanied by slogans.
